Eda Fidan

Psychotherapist

Eda Fidan is a Specialist Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with eight years of clinical experience working within NHS mental health services, where she continues to practise. She works with children, adolescents, young adults, families, and parents/carers, supporting them to explore emotional difficulties and better understand their experiences and relationships.

Eda completed her clinical training on the Professional Doctorate programme at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, where she has also contributed clinically and as a visiting lecturer. Her professional experience includes roles within CAMHS, school-based services, and the Adolescent and Young Adult Department at the Tavistock Clinic, which provides exploratory psychotherapy for young people up to the age of 25.

Through her work, Eda has developed a particular interest in supporting young people and young adults during the transition from adolescence to adulthood. She offers both longer-term psychoanalytic psychotherapy and shorter-term therapeutic work, tailored to the individual’s needs.

Eda has experience working with a wide range of emotional, relational, and interpersonal difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, identity struggles, relationship difficulties, and patterns of thinking and feeling that may feel hard to understand or change.

Her therapeutic approach is thoughtful, containing, and non-judgemental, offering a reflective space where complex emotional experiences can be explored safely.

Alongside her work with young people, Eda also supports parents and carers who may be navigating challenges in their relationships with their children or adolescents.

She brings warmth, depth of understanding, and a strong commitment to helping individuals and families move towards more fulfilling and meaningful lives.
